Say that three times fast. The Patons Cable Capelet I started a couple weeks ago is finished! I gotta say, I kind of love this thing. It’s just what I had hoped–a big cozy yarn hug.
This poncho was really quick to knit and the most complicated part was the cabled bottom “braid”–which really wasn’t all that complicated.
The only problem with this style is that it’s kind of impossible to carry a purse while you’re wearing it. Oh well, it’s a small price to pay for all this cozy awesomeness.
If you’re interested, you can see more of the work-in-progress Cable Caplet here. And if you’d like to see the other poncho-esque patterns I considered, look here.
I’ve linked this capelet up at Not Just a Housewife.

Another reason for a cute little across the body purse! Love the capelet. It’s adorable! The speed at which you complete projects amazes me.
Wow! It turned out awesome. I love that color. Good Job!
you could carry a “handbag” in the crook of your arm like a little ol’ lady
Love it! Nothing’s more grandma chic than carrying a pocketbook and wearing a sweater you knit yourself. Now if there was just a way to carry some tissue up the sleeve of a poncho…
You are absurdly awesome. It’s a little ridiculous and unfair, but I just adore that about you. This caplet is soooo beautiful!
